Brand new Pixma MG 7720- It prints fine but my Mac does not detect the scanner.

I set up the scanner with my Dropbox acct and it scanned successfully. My Mac however, does not detect the scanner and it's infuriating. I've uninstalled and reinstalled twice, restarted my computer, and still nothing.
