will achiever 260AF flash attachment work on the canon sx50 hs

Will an Achiever 260AF flash attachment work on the canon SX50 HS?  I know it will trigger but can the camera settings be adjusted to the flash output?

This sounds like a question to ask 'Achiever' and depends on whether the flash knows how to "talk" to a Canon camera.
