Did you mean:

"Display will turn off.." ELPH 160

While I am trying to focus on a subject why does my Canon ELPH 160 show the message: "Display will turn off. Any operation reactivates"? I cannot focus with a black display, and tapping a button disturbs the focus. I could understand this if the battery were low, but this happens even with a fresh charge. Is there a setting that I can change to disable this message?

Yes in your settings menu there is a Power saving setting where you can ajust the time before the display goes blank

Here is the link to your user guide that information is on page 74

Thank you! I figured it out - was the ECO setting that had to be changed first in order for me to access Power Settings. Smiley Happy

Ok great!
