Hi, rikersisland!

So that the Community can help you better, we will need to know exactly Canon PowerShot camera model you're using.  To date, there has not been a "PowerShot 1."   Any other details you'd like to give will help the Community better understand your issue!

If this is a time-sensitive matter, our US-based technical support team is standing by, ready to help 24/7 via Email at http://bit.ly/EmailCanon or by phone at 1-800-OK-CANON (1-800-652-2666) weekdays between 10 AM and 10 PM ET (7 AM to 7 PM PT).

Thanks and have a great day!

Sorry for not supplying enough info. Its a power shot pro 1 purchased my best guess is 2005. The problem is a bent guide pin . The camera is mint and would hate to lose it. Thanks for any help.p

I assume you mean PowerShot Pro-1. You can try Canon repair. Also try these folks:

Yes I will try precision camera, Canon no longer repairs this model (power shot pro 1) thanks for the help.

Made contact with Precision Camera , they do not carry parts to fix the power shot pro 1. Think I am SOL on this repair

Maybe Precision could remove part from this.

Depends on how much you want to invest.
