Powershot G7 X screen issue

RedCannon101

Hello, my canon G7x is fairly new, at first everything was fine but then this one issue came into existence. The screen will not come on after I press the power button, when I took it out the box the screen came on and everything was fine, just a message appeared saying no memory card detected. Now that I have inserted a memory card ( Sandisk Ultra Plus SDHC UHS-1 card) nothing comes up. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks for the reply, but I've pressed the menu button, held down on it, and spammed pressed it, but the screen just wont come on. The sound goes off indicationing it had been pressed, but no visuals.

Give Canon a call at 1-800-OK-CANON.

Will do, thanks

By all means yes call Canon since your camera is new and is under warranty.

I'm curious if you take the memory card back out will the display show that message again?

Also you can try taking out your battery and hold the power switch on for at least 30 seconds then insert the battery and try again.

I dont know how the memory card could effect the display but if you have one try another card too
