Hi all. I inherited a PowerShot SX20 IS along with several other consumer/prosumer digital cameras from my father-in-law, who was a consumer tech journalist. It's missing it's DC IN adapter. I know the SX20 runs on AA batteries, but does it have the ability to also run continuously when plugged in to its DC IN? What I'm looking to do is connect it to a computer via it's HDMI output and use it in a studio environment.
A bit of a werid and very specific question, I know, but would appreciate the help.

First thing you should do is download the manual from the Canon website if you do not already have it. Then you will need the DC Power Adapter CA-PS700. Next turn off the power savings settings so that the camera will not turn off by itself and that is it!
