Did you remove the battery imediately? Was the camera powered on at the time? One thing you could try is removing the battery and card, soak the camera in distilled water, and then put the camera in an oven at just over 100* for a few hours. Granted if you didn't take the battery out right away the camera is likely to be NFG. Sorry.
