My Canon SX50 photo viewer button often powers off my camera

I have a canon sx50 and my play back button often powers off my camera when I go to look at my photos. Is there something in my settings that is causing this? When it happens I can also power it back on with that button. I'm stumped.

Thanks for posting.

The PLAYBACK button can both power the camera on and power it off.  If you are switching from the recording mode to the playback mode using the button, pressing it once will switch to playback, but pressing it again will power the camera off.  When the camera is off, pressing the button once will power it on in playback, but pressing it again will power it off.
