I have read all the hints.

The label with the SN came off a while ago and I need the SN to download the software to correct this.

Camera is an SX 530 HS and the laptop is a Win10 software

Bought the camera 4 years ago and don't have the warranty card

Am I SOL or is there a way to Xfer the pics to my laptop

Thank in advance,

J

Are you sure the computer isn't recognizing your camera? If that is the case then there is a problem unrelated to not having the Canon software.

When you connect the camera and go to Devices and Printers do yiou see the camera?

You can transfer the pictures via a card reader. I am assuming you camera has an SD card. If the computer doesn't have an SD card reader they are inexpensive to purchase.

If you have previously download photos from the camera to this or any computer an EXIF data reader should give you the serial number.
