Hello new to forums and Canon digital cameras...I just purchased an Elph 300HS from Canon Direct (refurb) in the matte/sandpaper black finish. Should there be some noticeable noise when zooming the lens? I can hear it zooming in and out like a faint whine, and I hear it faintly in videos I shot and used zoom...A friend has a SX160 that seems dead silent zooming in and out compared to this, also my previous cameras (Lumix) never had any noticeable noise.
Re Cleaning: Is there one thing better then another for dusting/cleaning the camera body? Anything lint free I've tried seemed to leave lint to which I don't want getting on or near the lens.
Lastly I been through all the menus I can't see anything for apature control, am I missing something or is it pretty much Auto and scenes only. Any scene modes better for shallow depth of field?
