I have a Canon PowerShot A470 and every time I take a pictureit comes out white with the flash off

Can anyone help me my pictures are coming out all white even with the flash turned off. Does anyone know what it's doing that?

What mode are you shooting in ? Try auto mode it should not do that also you may have accidentally changed a setting so do a "Reset All" to defaults in your settings menu.

I already did a reset on it. Sometimes the pic looks like it has blurry lines coming through it. When I put it on night mode it works ok. But taking a normal pic under auto it doesn't work. I'll check it again. Thank you!

Ok and also remove the battery and hold the power switch on for at least 30 seconds sometimes that helps with these crazy problems
