How do I use the Canon manufacturer's warranty to return my 1-mo. old camera?

I bought the CANON Power Shot ELPH 520 HS camera on September 7, 2013 from AMAZON.  I also bought the Square Trade Warranty, thinking that it would be helpful if the camera had a problem.  Mind you, this is the SECOND time I have bought this exact same camera, however, I smartened up this time and bought the Square Trade Warranty.

Well, lo and behold, the camera, after only a little more than a month, has stopped focusing properly.  When I typed all the necessary information into the Square Trade Warranty's website, I was referred to the Canon website.  Apparently, this camera is still covered under the manufacturer's warranty.  How do I go about using this?

Hello ilovemaine,

If you need to return your PowerShot ELPH 520 HS for Canon service then we would advise setting up a repair on the main Canon web site.

You can contact support as well as arrange a repair, here.
