Green means its focused

Yellow means it cannot focus when you press the shutter button halfway down

Blue means in Tracking AF/Servo AF it is following the subject and is focused

Orange which you didnt mention is for Flexi Zone focus mode where you can move the focus bracket to a different area to focus on

White is the default standby color like in Auto mode which will turn Green when you press the shutter button halfway down and it is focused.

I have the SX50HS

Thanks! We've got a great powerhouse of a camera!

lol yeah we do !!

Your welcome!

When you get a chance check out this guys tutorials he uses the SX50 to teach and demonstrate a lot of different aspects of the SX50, he is a professional photographer and eveything he demonstrates applies directly to our Canon SX50. I think there are 10 lessons in all and I learned an awful lot from them
