Camera has started taking photos with a soft gray spot in the corner of the image.  It also does this in video.  Any suggestions?  It is larger that the small round dots that SLRs get from dust on the sensor.

Could be an oil spot (oil spreads, so they tend to be larger than dust spots), in which case you may need to have it cleaned.

I've seen no reports of oil spots on a Canon sensor. AFAIK, the last oil spot fiasco was on a Nikon model two or three years ago. But you never know.

It needed clean, but was not worth the cost.
