G7X Mark II - Horrible Footage Quality

SWhite83

I have a Canon G7X Mark II and I've been doing everything I can to assure quality video footage.  It looks good on screen, but when I transfer it to my iPad, it looks grainy and just horrible.  It's hard to watch.  I've researched best video settings and changed them and used everything I've could think of.  Is there something wrong with the camera or could it be something else.

I'm good with tech but I'm not an expert.  Here are two things I have questions on that could be messing with quality as well.

The memory card:  ImageMate PLUS; 130 MB/s; V10; within the U is a 1; within the C is a 10.    Would a high quality memory card help footage quality?

I'm transferring footage from my camera to my iPad via the camera's wifi and the Canon app.  Does the app somehow condense footage and not make the quality as great as it would via a card reader?

It is hard to tell. Try getting the footage to a computer.

THe main way to improve video quality is to increase the light. Try taking some footage outside on a summy day and see if that helps.
