Connecting to macbook

Hello everyone. 

   I have just purchased a 360hs. If I connect the USB cable from the camera to my windows computer,  the pictures download automatically.  If I do the same thing on the macbook, nothing happens.  The only way is by wifi and safari.  Any help would be appreciated for a solution. I would really like to just use the cable and not wifi.

The download options on a Mac will be a little different, but you could try using Image Capture. With the camera connected, try doing the following:

1. Click on your hard drive

2. Open your APPLICATIONS folder

3. Open the program that says IMAGE CAPTURE

Thanks for your reply. I have since found the picture quality to be less than expected, so I have returned the camera and will try something else.
