How do I get back to 1x video recording? e

That seems odd, have you tried doing a RESET through the menu yey?

yes, twice. There is a screen that lets you choose 5x 10x or 20x but not 1x. Why would you want to shoot in high speed in the first place? e

ANd whilie in movie mode you pressed the menu button the using the arrows can not change it as on pg 103 in your users manual?
You can try removing the batteries, holding down the power button for 1 minute and then replace, turn on and see.
Is it under warranty ?
