Help
I'm struggling with learning basics on the G12, in spite of user guide...
I have somehow adjusted the F stop settings (I'd like this automatic) and, in trying to fix it, it
- first changed to a blue flashing light and a long pause then taking two or three images
- then stopped taking pictures entirely
I tried to find how to do a reset, but when I followed the instructions I did not get the tool-image icon, in order to do so.
Help?

Hi Lisa,
On the other G models there is another battery that saves the time and date and maybe more info in addition the the regular battery. It is usually located at the top of the regular battery compartment. Once that is removed you may get your menus back, all of them. I looked at your manual and they make reference to it but do not show it. I would try to find that as well as removing the regular battery then hold the power switch down for 30 seconds or so.
The fact that your tool menu is gone is puzzling. Your not in My Menus are you?

Taking out the battery and holding power for 30 sec's worked, thx.
