With Sports setting on SX50HS pictures are so bright that you can hardly make out the image

sports setting on my SX50HS worked initially but now the pictures are so bright, only an outline of the subject can be seen.  Don't recall making any changes to settings.

Using your manual check to see if you've accidently added some POSITIVE Exposure Compensation If you havent can you add some negative EC to get a correct exposure?

Good to hear it's fixed. Now that you know about Exposure Compensation learn to use it when basic setting aren't quite getting it right. EC is your friend.
