When purchased through a Canon Authorized Dealer, your PowerShot A1400 is automatically covered by a one-year limited warranty from Canon USA. There is no special activation necessary. This warranty takes effect from the date of purchase, and a card should have been included with the camera stating the warranty's terms and conditions.
