Sx50 HS - Black Edge appearing in upper left and lower right of pictures/view finders. Fixable?

Was on a trip and noticed that a curved black edge started appearing in upper left and lower right of view finder and pictures.  Have others encountered this and is it fixable?  Camera is 10 years old.
