Sd card stuck in a Powershot A510

PLEASE HELP!!! so i recently found an old camera my mom gave me when i was a little kid, its a powershot a510, but the sd card is stuck. you cant even push down on it. ive tried using a razor blade to try and wedge it out but its stuck. all my photos from my summers up at camp and some with a friend who was passed away are on there so if you have any idea how to get this sd card out PLSSS HELP i will be so thankfull.

Greetings,

SD card slot.  The ejection and retention mechanism are spring loaded.  You can try to use a fine tipped tweezer and gently push in and pull out the card.  If your lucky, it will release.  If it doesn't, the camera will have to be partially disassembled to get the card out.

If you are willing to sacrifice the camera, just grab the SD card with a pointed plier and force it out.  The card should be readable, as there is nothing on the card that will be damaged.

I'm guessing your main goal is to download and save any images stored on the card. Does the camera still power up and can you still view your pics on the LCD? If so, then I think you should be able to connect your A510 to your laptop or desktop via a USB cable and download copies of your images using the file explorer tool on the computer. The correct cable for making this connection may have shipped with the camera when new.

Look around page 109 of the users guide for more details. Link below if you don't already have a manual for the camera.

Try this before doing any more poking or probing around on the camera with pliers or tweezers, or more serious hardware.
