And it is very annoying. Is it possible to repair?

One, most Powershot cameras [and similar ones by other manufacturers] are not easily disassembled for repair.
Two, even if it could be repaired, you could buy at least 2 used ones for the same cost to repair.

The ribbon cable which drives the stabilizer, broke down, teared.
I could manage to cut out the vertical coil, and shortened it, it will do. {no vertical stabilisation, and vertically loose lense, especially when hold upward or downward. And E23 errors, just as it has been.
Did not disassemble the optics, i guess the other end of the ribbon is soldered, and even the cable itself is not available for purchase.
