Hi! I just got a PowerShot SD750 and when I was putting in a new memory card and the battery, the camera has completely stopped working. The lense is out like it is on but the screen is black and I can’t turn it on or off. Can anyone please tell me how to fix it? I put in the memory card and battery correctly so I don’t think anything damaged the inside but I really don’t want to buy another one since this is brand new.

This is a fourteen-year-old camera. New to YOU, but definitely not new. Who did you buy it from? Is it returnable? Were you able to try it before purchasing?
If it is not functioning properly, there's not much you yourself can do with it. Nor will Canon still fix it, which wouldn't be worth the cost if they did.
