PowerShot - My SX160 IS camera lens is stuck in the out!

My lens is stuck out and will not turn on as it keeps telling me there is a lens error, it will shut down automatically.  Then it says to restart.  I start the camera again and the same thing happens.

I have taken out the batteries for a few minutes and the lens does not retreat.

Since resetting your PowerShot SX160 IS does not seem to resolve this issue, service would be the next viable option.  You can therefore arrange service on Support and Service web site, linked here. 

The same site would also have a Contact Us section if you had an urgent technical support question or issue.
