PowerShot A80 Woodpecker Noise Before Shutting Off

I have a Canon PowerShot A80 and when I turn it on it go's dat dat dat dat then a woodpecker Sound and then shut off. I can't even do anything.

Sounds like the lens [...] can't extend. I doubt it is worth fixing.
