Power shot A495 all pictures are extremely white

Any idea why all of my pictures on my A495 are very white (barley to make out)

White pictures usually means overexposed photos.  Something in the camera is likely to have failed.  If the camera has failed, then it is definitely not worth repairing.  I've seen used ones for sale for about the cost of a bucket of chicken for four.

Do you have exposure compensation set? Do you have it in manual mode?

It would be helpful if you could post a couple sample shots with the EXIF data intact. That would tell us your camera settings and how it's trying to adjust your exposure.
