If the shutter release is stuck, unfortunately, this is not a user-serviceable item. I regret the difficulty this causes.
Unfortunately, your camera will require service to correct this issue.
To set up service, please go to canonusa.com/repair.
Once there, enter your model number, the date of purchase and your Zip Code, then click "Submit" to set up your repair.
