I can't seem to keep the connection with my canon camera and my phone correctly?

So I downloaded the app to my phone followed all instructions correctly and everything connected, until in the Canon Connect app I would click the remote or try to view images on camera. Right when I click either one, the connection complately disappears? even after I tried clearing the settings it STILL did the same thing. Help ? :(

((btw it is a canon powershot sx530)))
