Cannon sx530 HS wont stay on

My camera will not stay on. When I can get it to turn on, it either turns right off or when I push certain buttons it turns off. It's been doing it for awhile now. I have not tried a new battery and nothing is wrong with the sd card. When it turns off the power button doesnt do anything. I just have to press every button until it finally turns on. But will not stay on. Is this something the camera does and can be turned off or is the camera just broken?

This question cannot be answered easily over the internet. 

What does it sound like?...  There is a problem with the camera, but you won't know for sure until you test it with a known good power supply.

You said you did not try a new battery? If that is what you meant then you should get a new battery and try that first for that problem.
