I keep getting these error messages (1688) for both cartriges are empty but I just got them filled at Costco. It won't finish Cleaning or Deep Cleaning. Can you tell me What is wrong and/or Why?

So that the Community can help you better, we need to know exactly which Canon printer model you're using so that we can let you know what the error message means. That, and any other details you'd like to give will help the Community better understand your issue.
We should also point out that genuine Canon ink cartridges are not designed to be refilled. We are unable to guarantee the compability or performance of non-Canon ink cartridges or genuine Canon ink cartridges that have been modified or tampered with.
