SELPHY CP910 - Ink cassette is empty (with a new cartridge)

HansTuchel

Good evening,

I constantly get the error message that the ink cartridge is empty. I replace it twice with a brand new original cartridge, but the error message is consistent.

Kindly assist.

Hans

Hi HansTuchel,

It is recommended that you contact one of Canon's Technical Support Representatives. To contact a Technical Support Representative, please use the link below:

I have the same problem. I see from the ifixit video that it just needs a blob of glue, but to get to the part you have to strip down the machine. This is obviously a design fault. What about all of the ink cassettes that I have thrown away thinking they were empty and the packs of paper for which I can not buy just an ink cartridge? It’s not what I would have expected from Canon.

I spoke with a tech and was told that this error and trying with new ink and unplugging cord from printer, that it means this printer is done. They have a program that you can purchase new model at discounted rate.

Hi there,

do you have  a link to that program that you mentioned? I am having the same problem, but am having trouble navigating the tech support. thanks!

I had the same problem.

I was able to fix it with a solution found here:
