Pixma IP2700 Not printing

robertob45

Hi, i have a problem wtih my printer

When i'm going to print it says that there is paper jammed but there is not paper in it.

So i opened it and check all, there wasn't a pice of paper or something that is preventing the paper from passing

So I saw gears that were on one side and between those gears there was like a transparent disk and i think that is a sensor ,and it is damaged it is like folded, and it has a label that says "qc2-6384" and i want to what does it do and if a can desconect it. I searched for it and it is a 'Timing slit disk' but i don't know what it is for.

Hi robertob45,

Since a part is damaged and stuck in the printer, the printer will require servicing.  We ask that you please contact a Canon technical support representative here to obtain your servicing options.  A representative will be happy to assist you free of charge.
