Hi,
My IP7250 has suddenly started reporting a print head error, is there anything I can do to fix it or do I need to replace the print head?

Thanks

Moderator:  my third message on this board here.  Three people over past 3 days having exact same problem 3 different Canon printers.  Print Head Installed on printer not correct one.  that's first message I got.  How could I have the wrong one?  Did you have a recent s/w update that put the wrong update on our printers?  Either that or we all have pretty lousy printers that the print head collapsed basically at the same time for all of us.

Just found this later on in this series of messages:  So if the print head is actually damaged, and you buy a new one for your device if it's an MG series, this is where to go to find out how to change it.  Doesn't seem difficult but I wonder about so many lately getting a damaged print head error.

Please follow the steps outlined in the following Knowledgebase Article to remove the printhead from your PIXMA iP7220:

unfortunately print cartridges are stuck on left side and in this way the instructions did not match what I could see.  When I pulled down a door in front, it appears to be to print dvd/cds.
