Anyone managed to get a CP-100 printer working on Windows 10?

Hi, my main photo printer is broken, but I managed to find an old Canon CP-100 printer in a cupboard.  Cannon no longer support this printer but I managed to find a driver on line for Windows 8.  I tried installing using the Compatabiluty Trouble shooter and initially everything was looking good until I got to a screen saying the driver installation was trying to find the port the printer was using (USB) and it might take a while, an hour later is was still looking?  Printer does not show in list of installed printer, but checking with a driver updater it confirmed driver was installed and the latest one.  Connecting/disconnecting the printer produced the usual chimes from PC on connecting/disconnecting a USB device. To me it seems driver has been installed but cannot find port printer is using.  I can remember using this printer on a laptop running Windows 8 in the past.

Anyone got any ideas how to get this printer working on Windows 10?

Hi athomas2,

The CP-100 is not supported with Windows 10.  You are eligible for Canon's Upgrade Program. This is for out of warranty units which have been diagnosed to require service, or for some reason are incompatible with a new or upgraded system. This option allows you a one-time opportunity to purchase a replacement product, discounted from the list price.

To help you get up and running quickly, we also offer free standard shipping (if the order is completed by 12:30PM ET). If you would like to take part in this option, please call our Sales Department at (866) 443-8002.  They're available weekdays and Saturdays after 11 AM ET (8 AM PT). Let them know you have been working with technical support and the Canon Upgrade Program was offered.
