All of a sudden not printing

peyton503

I replcaed the black ink on canon PIXMA mp280 and it won't print. No error messages. It makes all the noises of printing, but the sheets are blank. Color ink is low, but shouldn't it print blank ink documents anyhow? This worked a few days ago and with the new cartridge, nothing.

TRIED . . .

  • Hard power off and unplugging, both the computer and printer.
  • Replacing black ink cartridge with new.
  • Praying to Allah, Yahweh, and God.

Hi peyton503,

I recommend performing 2-3 cleanings to try and resolve the issue.  To clean the print head Clean the Print Head, use the following steps:.

  1. Press the  [Maintenance] button repeatedly until H appears.

  2. Press the <Black> or <Color> button.
The machine starts cleaning the Print Head.

Do not perform any other operations until the machine completes the cleaning of the Print Head. This takes about 1 to 2 minutes.
