I received a new Canon iX6820 printer for Christmas. I desire to print 12x12 borderless photos for scrapbooking. How do I do this?

My recommendation is to print a 12x12 image on 13x19 paper and trim to size.

Hi, that defeats the purpose of having 12x12 photo paper and scrapbooking paper. Canon needs to address this with an update. They advertise on the BOX that it prints 12x12!

I'm not sure thats correct.

Hi!

The PIXMA iX6820 can accommodate a maximum paper size of 12.95" x 26.61". If you need to use a paper size that isn't listed in the printer's presets, the print menu on your computer allows you to specify a custom size such as 12" x 12".

We hope this information helps!

Will it print borderless on custom sizes? OP wants 12x12 borderless.

It does not accept the instruction of printing borderless on custom sizes.  However, I was [somewhat] successful in tricking it to print 12x12 borderless by putting in a larger, custom size into the instructions.

i would love to know how you tricked it, I can not get mine to print

One thing to be careful of. The reason the printer doesn’t allow borderless on custom sizes is that the sponges that collect the overspray are only at certain locations. You are likely to be spraying ink on surfaces that won’t absorb ink and later transfer it to your prints.
