macOS Sonoma 14.0 fails wifi connection to Canon Maxify MB5460

Trying to wifi connect new Canon Maxify MB 5460 to my macOS Sonoma 14.0 fails, even though printer is "recognised" by the computer. Online manual does not list macOS Sonoma 14.0. It does listOS X El Capitan v10.11, OS X Yosemite v10.10, OS X Mavericks v10.9, and OS X Mountain Lion v10.8.5.        What should I do?
