imageCLASS MF733Cdw - 2-sided scan not working correctly

dkallman

I'm not sure how to describe the 2nd side of scanned documents.  The second side is scanning, but a portion of the scanned page is blurred?  distorted?

Is this a part that needs to be replaced?  If so, what part would be doing this?

Is this correctable?   You get the gist.

Hello,

The image looks like there is a problem with one of the scanner sensors and the scanner needs service. There is a small chance that the mf733 is not getting enough power. You can try connecting the scanner to another power source to see if the scan quality improves. If the scan quality does not improve at all, it looks like the scanner needs service. To check what options are available, you can contact support over the phone at 1-800-652-2666 or log into your MyCanon account.

Greetings dkallman,

Of course Hector has provided invaluable information.  💪

So this is only happening on the second side when using the ADF?

Single side is 100% flawless right.  Please print a document from the web or your PC two-sided (single page).  Confirm that both sides print correctly.  If so, the problem is definitely with the scanner.

Thank you for the feedback.  The issue has been resolved.  I do not recall what the fix was as the post was from Aug. 2024, but it only happened on the "backside" page of the ADF scan.
