imageCLASS MF642Cdw Trouble printing on legal size paper from multifunction tray

Help me before I throw my printer across the office 🙂 ImageCLASS mF642Cdw

I got a new computer at work. I had some issues setting up my printer; I installed the scanner and printer driver from the canon website but I finally got it to print for me. Everything is up to date for system updates.

Now I'm trying to print on legal paper and it will not pull from the multifunctional "tray". I've set it up on the printer itself, on the computer's printer settings & it continues to take paper from tray 1; which is set up for letter paper. I've ensured the print properties on the actual document, is set to legal & I get half the document on letter paper from tray 1. 

I'm at my wits end, obviously. Please any advice with this would make my week, Literally!

Just so we have a complete picture of your environment. Are you using Windows or Mac, which version and build of the OS? 

How is the printer connected and to what?  USB wireless or ethernet?.

Which drivers did you install? (Specifically)

The manual feed slot does support 8.5 x14.🙂

I figured it out! Because I downloaded the new driver, my computer's settings were trying to print to the original driver. I switched to the generic driver I downloaded and it worked! Yaaay!
