i-sensys 8580 - scanning and copying don't work

Hi there everyone!

I have the following problem with my new i-Sensys 8580: I can print all right, but when I try to scan - it doesn't work, ie. it yields a copletely blank PDF, when I try to copy, I get a blank sheet of paper as a result.

It all seems like the scanning device doesn't actually scan anything, irrespective of what is put to the feeder or on the glass plate.

Anyone have a similar problem and know of a solution?

ImageClass 8580CDW owner here. My printing works fine. When I scan, from either the feeder of platen, there are no unusual or grinding noises, but the scan files come out completely blank. This is the same over network and USB cable, and on 2 different computers, with 3 different kinds of software.

Oh, and copying spits out blank pages too. Again, the printing works fine.

I've only had my printer for a few weeks. Need help soon, please.
