I have a canon imagerunner c5185.  it's leaving pink dots on all the color prints.  i've changed the toner, used the clean inside unit function and opened everything up to blow out with air.  i can't get the dots to go away.

Reasons can cause dark spots, and prompt on how you can find a way to forestall them later on

Absence of Moisture

Laser scanners and printers require a specific level of friction based electricity to intertwine the toner to paper. On the off chance that your printer is situated in a room that encounters low mugginess levels, at that point it can meddle with the printer's capacity to bond toner adequately to the paper. To keep away from this, putting resources into a humidifier can enhance print yield in a situation that is excessively dry.

Erroneous Paper Selection

It is imperative that you tell the printer how thick the paper is you are going to print on, or on the off chance that it is a covered stock, for example, shine or silk. On the off chance that the machine is anticipating that plain 80gsm paper should be utilized, yet you are utilizing 200gsm paper, for instance, it won't warm the fuser to a suitable temperature for thick paper, bringing about smircesh and un-intertwined toner dust left at first glance.

At whatever point you are imprinting on stocks which are not your standard office paper, be it a thicker paper or diverse paper stock, including envelopes or sheets of names, you should make sure to change the paper plate settings, not simply on the print driver window but rather on the real machine itself. It is additionally prompted that you utilize the sidestep plate when imprinting on thick or covered stock, as it goes through the machine in the straightest course, which forestalls paper sticking.

A Bad Toner CartridgeUsually connected with perfect or re-filled cartridges, a cracked cartridge stores toner inside your printer and onto your paper in places that it's not proposed, bringing about dark spots. The most effortless approach to check if a cartridge has abandons, is to put it on a huge bit of paper and tap it with a ruler, if toner is transmitted from the cartridge, it is prompted that you utilize an alternate cartridge, and discard the harmed one in your toner reusing box

Check the Photocopier Glass

The glass on the scanner might be to be faulted for dark spots on print-outs when duplicating archives. On the off chance that there are spots of residue or soil on the glass, at that point the printer will imitate them on the printed yields. To check if this is the reason, put a clear bit of paper on the glass and create a duplicate, if there are dark spots it is likely that the screen is filthy. Along these lines, it is imperative that you ensure the glass surface is cleaned consistently to keep this. After you have cleaned it, rehash the clear duplicate process and the print out should turn out clear.

Remote Material Causes Black Spots

Spots and streaks can be caused by remote material discovering its way inside the machine and adhering to or harming the surface of the drum. The remote material can be:

  • stick from marks
  • stick from envelopes
  • paper cuts
  • staples

Toner develops on the territories of the drum where the remote items are and makes dark spots on the printed pages. The best approach to keep this, is to guarantee that clients don't photocopy reports that contain paperclips or staples, and that when imprinting on names or envelopes that the machine is informed that will be imprinting on envelopes and names (it will bring down the temperature, and keep the paste dissolving in the machine).

Needs Cleaning

After some time, the parts inside copiers gather residue and earth. Inability to legitimately clean inside a machine can influence its long haul execution. Midshire engineers complete prevantive upkeep as a feature of each visit to a client. When they touch base at your workplaces, they won't just take a gander at the separated machine, yet all Midshire machines nearby and give them a decent clean to expel any residue and earth to anticipate dark stamps on the printouts, and furthermore forestall future breakdowns.
