MX870 The text in my Gmails does not print out and I get a "[QUOTED TEXT HIDDEN]" message

All of a sudden, the text part of my Gmails is not printing out on my Canon Prixma MX870 printer and I get the following message under my Signature

"[QUOTED TEXT HIDDEN]"

 

When I forward the exact same email to my work Outlook email on the same laptop using the same Canon Prixma MX 870, it print the text portion of my email out.

 

The text portion of online brochures is not printing out, text portions of Excel not printing out, text of Word doc not printning out.

 

Color photos okay.  WHERE DOES THIS [QUOTED TEXT HIDDEN]  COME FROM?

 

I can see the text on the screen through for the Gmails, Excel and Word but not printing.

If you click on File and the Print Preview, does the preview appear correctly?

No, the print preview does not appear correct either

Thanks for letting us know what Canon product you've got. This thread is several years old and since that time, the PIXMA MX870 has been retired. While that means that Canon USA no longer offers direct support for it, your friends here in the Canon Community are welcome to offer suggestions!

You can also speak with a Canon Upgrade Program specialist to help you score a modern replacement that would meet your current needs at a discount. You can reach them weekdays and Saturdays at 1-866-443-8002.

This is an 8 year old topic.  If you'd like assistance, please start a new thread,  It should include the model of your Canon device, the operating system (version and build) you are using it with, how its connected, and a description of the problem you are experiencing.  Any additional details or troubleshooting steps would also be helpful.

Hi Mlford,

It looks like the MX870 has been retired, which means support from Canon USA directly is no longer available. The Canon Community is still welcome to chime in though! 

You can also speak with a Canon Upgrade Program specialist to see what your options might be to help get you into a discounted current-generation printer that would be compatible with your current needs. They're at 866-443-8002.
