MB5120 "installation Failure" seems to be pervasive and has no support. Should I buy an HP?

Windows 11 Home, Dell laptop.   Had MB5120 installed on an HP laptop which was replaced by this Dell.

I've done the installation many times and it always gets 'Installation Failure'.   Process to resolve is worthless.

Can't find a way to contact anyone except this Community, which has the same error with no responses.

Unit is still under warranty.   I'm ready to do a Google review being very honest, request a full refund from Canon, and buy something which doesn't say 'Canon' on it.

Please talk me out of that.

Hello,

We would be happy to assist, but we would need some additional information to assist further. You can reply to this message with the information below and we can provide some troubleshooting steps or suggestions. For a more immediate resolution I would suggest contacting support over the phone at 1-800-652-2666. Our agents would be happy to assist with driver installation on your Windows computer.

1. What is the name of the fie that you are running from our support site?

2. Are you connecting via USB or is it over a network?

I 'kind of' resolved this.  During installation the process tells you to shut down any firewall (or security system?  I'm not sure which).   I always did that.   However, I reviewed everything which happened when the failures started, and it looked like I installed the "AURA" security system about the same time.   I'd been disabling it / turning it off as Canon requested.   So I uninstalled it and tried the MB5120 install.   NO PROBLEMS!    As my subscription was nearly up, I replaced AURA with AVG.   I've had no problem with my MB5120 since - it stays connected.   In addition, another Canon printer which had trouble installing works perfectly now.  AURA was the problem.
