I have a MF8350 at home. since new versions of edge, does not print from anything microsoft

The printer used to work flawlessly.   Then edge had an upgrade about a year ago and that is when the trouble started.   

symptoms:

Anything microsoft makes the print engine abort.  (this includes printing a test page from the print queue properties).  I have two different computers that this is exactly the same.   This now includes adobe printing.   

there is nothing special about my computers or the way the printer is setup.  My computers are just basic windows It is just a network printer.

I have uninstalled and reinstalled the driver and printer definition.  multiple times.    I have downloaded new drivers and installed them.  I have reset the printer to factory settings.  I have uninstalled edge and updated it.  I have cleared cached cookies and windows temp files.   

So my printer is now a nice paper weight.  

Is there a magic fix out there?

If you are still running Windows 10, can you attempt to print using Internet Explorer? The MF8350 is an older machine (manuals are dated 2010 & 2011). There may be a compatibility issue between the hardware and the latest version of Edge. 🤔
