Canon MF743 CDW: The COLOR scan function has a lot of BLUE noise in background for both PDF or JPEG

Hello,

I just bought a brand new Canon MF743 CDW. The COLOR scan function via Platen Glass generated a lot of light BLUE noise in the background for both output PDF or JPEG file.

The same image placed on Platen Glass, the COLOR copy function looks pretty good (No noise seen).

In the Canon MF Scan Utility application, there are 3 options (Correct black text, Sharpen outline or Reduce moire), but they don't help reduce the background noise at all.

I would like to know if you see the same scan function issue mentioned above with your MF743 or similar in MF700 family? or only my MF743 has an issue.

Attach file is the my sample output.

Thanks and regards,
Henry

Hello henryhoangly,

I understand you are concerned about the image quality of color scans made with your Color imageCLASS MF743Cdw. The sample output you attached to your post looks like the texture of the paper.  Decreasing the scan resolution (DPI) and/or scanning as black and white may wash out some of the texture in the paper.  If you need help with decreasing the scan resolution, could you tell us which computer operating system you are using (e.g. Windows 10, Mac OS 10.14, etc.)?

I haven't seen the same scan function concern mentioned with the MF743Cdw or in the MF700 family.
