When trying to print, it shows two paper trays. But there is only one to fill. It shows that the second is where the toner cartridges are. When trying to print it thinks there is no paper but the tray 1 is filled. I have no idea what the top tray is. There is no where to put paper in there.

Hi Jenni5672.
The MF731Cdw supports the optional Cassette Unit AF-1 (an additional paper drawer). It's possible that the settings were changed to enable the AF-1 unit, despite that unit not currently being installed. This setting may be disabled in the printer's menus.

No, there is only one for a paper tray. The other is for multiuse paper but it is not a tray.
