SELPHY CP1500 says paper and ink cassette sizes are incorrect

I recently purchased a Cannon Selphy CP1500. I tried to print a photo and received this message:  Paper & Ink Cassette Sizes are incorrect.  ???? I used the paper and ink cassettes that came with the printer. How/what do I do now?

Please try printing an image with your SELPHY CP1500 using the SELPHY Photo Layout app.

If you do not have this app installed, it is available from Apple's App Store and the Google Play Store:

  

Once installed, please make sure that the SELPHY CP1500 is selected and the correct and then attempt to print:
