The Elicar 200mm automatic f3.5 lens

Hey guys, I recently bought this used lens,but had to buy an m42 adapter for my nikon d5300 from ebay which didn't arrive yet,but I think the lens has à focusing problem,I couldn't get it to focus while adjusting the ring and looking trought it,do you guys have any idea about it? Thanks.

This is a Canon forum. We don't do much Nikon.

You won't be able to use the lens like a telescope and focus on something. Wait until you get the adapter and then try it on the camera.

Even with the adapter you won't be able to focus it very easy without mounting it to a camera.  BTW, this is a bad idea and you should abandon it before you waste any more money.

EOS 1DX and 1D Mk IV, along with less other stuff.

I don't know why folks buy a pretty nice upper level intermediate camera and then want to put crap glass on them. Smiley Frustrated
