I have a Canon EF 75-300mm 4-5.6 III Zoom and would like to give it more power. I can't afford a bigger zoom so does anybody have any suggestions for a Teleconverter (Extender) , say 1.4X or 2X I could use to add on to the lens. There are a lot of brands out there (Canon, Bowers, etc.) and I need something that won't "break the bank" .....Thanks !

That's a mid grade consumer lens which won't go well with a TC. ANY TC will hurt or kill the AF speed & soften the images when shooting stills & I doubt it could even capture action. Start researching better & more suitable lenses to match what you need for those longer shots & put that money into the pile as you learn.

Yes, I've been told that before "save up and always go for the better glass" which does make sense. I'm new to the DSLR World and still learning as I go along......Thanks for your input and quick reply !
